This made it a poor choice as the two drive sites were over fairly deep water about 20 meters and not suitable for snorkelling but good for diving. The second of the two dive sites was closer to the shore but the wind on our day made it difficult to get to the shore where the snorkelling was unless you were strong swimmers. “Eine lange Fahrt für 2 3/4 Stunden vor Ort. Petra ist aber wirklich toll! Das Essen war gut und reichlich. Im Bus gab es 0,5 l Wasser pro Person gratis und im Restaurant nochmal 1,5 l für uns vier gratis. Man sollte also genug zu trinken mitnehmen. Eine Eintagestour lohnt sich nur von Eilat aus. Von Betlehem oder Tel Aviv sollte man auf jeden Fall eine Tour mit Übernachtung buchen. Wir hatten Mitreisende, die um 2 Uhr nachts von Tel Aviv gestartet sind und gegen 23:30 Uhr wieder ankommen sollten. Und das für die knapp 3 Stunden Petra.
